Business SSL UCC Certificate

Microsoft technology for unified communication and collaboration (UCC) enables easy interaction for globally distributed workgroups using Microsoft Office. Unified interfaces extend compatibility between Office products and provide simple transfer of data over the internet.

Microsoft UCC applications include:

• Microsoft Exchange Server 2007
• Microsoft Communications Server 2007
• Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007
• Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
• Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007

Simplified communication channels demand high security precautions. In an UCC environment, all communication can be secured by one single SSL certificate.

Until now, it was just possible to secure one Domain per SSL certificate (e.g. mail.company.ch). The QuoVadis UCC certificate covers up to 8 different domain names in one SSL certificate (e.g. mail.company.ch, secure.agency.at, portal.sales.de).

Business SSL UCC certificates may be issued by QuoVadis Registration Authorities. The issuance of this certificate requires a certificate signing request (CSR) from the central Exchange server. A manual for creating a CSR can be found here

Standard term of the certificate is 3 years.

The issuance of the certificate requires the following documents:

• Completed and signed application form
• Copy of passport or ID of the Authorizing Person
• Certified copy of a corporate registration
