DigiCert QuoVadis

QuoVadis sealsign cloud

QuoVadis sealsign cloud supports the legally binding signing of any electronic file. The use of sealsign cloud enables compliance with relevant laws including electronic signing (Bundesgesetz über die elektronische Signatur ZertES) as well as electronic invoicing (Verordnung des Eidgenössischen Finanzdepartements über elektronische Daten und Informationen ElDI-V) and electronic archiving (Geschäftsbücherverordnung GeBüV).

With the use of digital signatures, the recipient and the legislator are assured of the authenticity and integrity of a file/document. Whether for SMEs or large companies, sealsign cloud can optimize business processes and reduce costs.

The confidentiality and data security of the documents is guaranteed. Only the compressed unreadable documents (HASH) are submitted to the external service for signing or validation using SSL encryption. The legible original documents do not leave the system environment of the customer.

Signing
With QuoVadis sealsign cloud the appropriate signature can be generated:
  • CMS signature
  • PDF Signature
  • UN/EDIFACT signature
  • XML Signature
Validation and Verification Report
The validation capabilities of sealsign cloud show quickly and easily whether the digital signatures and digital certificates were valid at the selected time. The verification of the signature can be documented by a report. Therefore, the ElDI-V requirements for reporting are taken into account.

Trusted Time-Stamp
To obtain a trusted time, a qualified time-stamp is used to apply standardised time signatures from an accurate time source. The qualified time-stamp provides a tamperproof confirmation that certain data existed at a point in time.

Integration
There are different possibilities to integrate sealsign cloud in an existing IT environment:
  • file system
  • web service
  • SDK (Software Development Kit)

Certificate and Keystore
For signing, an individual digital certificate is issued, typically in the name of the customer. sealsign cloud uses Secure Signature Creation Devices (SSCD or Hardware Security Module).

Conditions
Depending on the chosen implementation and operating concept, sealsign cloud supports a variety of platforms and operating systems. The access to sealsign cloud occurs via a secured internet access (HTTP, HTTPS).
